I’m a homeschooling mom with six wonderful children and one amazing husband. I look at my life and can’t believe how full and blessed it is. We’ve had many crises, but God blessed us with lots of love and tons of laughter.
Raising children in an atmosphere of unconditional love and honesty is something close to my heart. This can happen when we put their welfare ahead of our pride, and become willing to face our own hurts and get the healing we need. As we do, we become better parents. Most of all, we have to trust God with our children. He loves them, and us, far more than we will ever be capable of doing.
What I learn through the years, I want to teach to others. My family and friends, and my kids’ friends, understand that feeding people is my love language. Cooking is my passion, so it made sense that I would write and design a cooking class for new cooks. I wanted to teach the basics, then build upon that foundation until the students could put together their own healthy, balanced meals without having to resort to recipes. I call it Freestyle Cooking, and I’ll be sharing some of those ideas, as well as plenty of recipes.
So many things go into making our lives and homes beautiful. Organizing our things and time contribute to the beauty of life. It’s also important that our homes capture who we are and what we’re about. A home can still be welcoming with homeschooling books in view.
I’ve always loved to write. Although timid of trying to achieve my dream of publication, I can share what I have with any who care to stop by this blog. God has shown me such grace and patience that I have much to give. And I haven’t given up on that dream!
Life has become an overflowing, delicious banquet.
