I’m a homeschooling mom with six wonderful children and one amazing husband. I look at my life and can’t believe how full and blessed it is.  We’ve had many crises, but God blessed us with lots of love and tons of laughter.

Raising children in an atmosphere of unconditional love and honesty is something close to my heart.  This can happen when we put their welfare ahead of our pride, and become willing to face our own hurts and get the healing we need.  As we do, we become better parents.  Most of all, we have to trust God with our children. He loves them, and us, far more than we will ever be capable of doing.

What I learn through the years, I want to teach to others.  My family and friends, and my kids’ friends, understand that feeding people is my love language.  Cooking is my passion, so it made sense that I would write and design a cooking class for new cooks. I wanted to teach the basics, then build upon that foundation until the students could put together their own healthy, balanced meals without having to resort to recipes. I call it Freestyle Cooking, and I’ll be sharing some of those ideas, as well as plenty of recipes.

So many things go into making our lives and homes beautiful.  Organizing our things and time contribute to the beauty of life.  It’s also important that our homes capture who we are and what we’re about.  A home can still be welcoming with homeschooling books in view.

I’ve always loved to write.  Although timid of trying to achieve my dream of publication, I can share what I have with any who care to stop by this blog.  God has shown me such grace and patience that I have much to give.  And I haven’t given up on that dream!

Life has become an overflowing, delicious banquet.

“They have found pardon in the wilderness, those who have survived the sword.  Israel is marching to his rest.

Yahweh has appeared to him from afar: ‘I have loved you with an everlasting love, so I am constant in my affection for you.'”                   Jeremiah 31:2, 3

“Let me stay in your tent for ever, taking refuge in the shelter of your wings”                                                                                                                                                                                                          Psalm 61:4

Just from reading this page, I have a feeling we would be great friends, if ever we meet. 🙂 Glad you found us so that I can come back to read more from you…

Thx for following our God sized adventures in Hong Kong! Mind if I ask what brought you to us & what inspired or encouraged you the most? – Hope you’ll come back & find encouragement as you follow our journey! Happy New Year! -JK

    • Thank you so much! I do plan on catching up and then keeping up with your adventures in God. I found you because Prophetbrahmarishi started following me, so I checked out his site and found your comment there. So, I checked you out. 🙂 I love your heart for the people you are living amongst.

I was inspired by your ability to live with idols surrounding you, as Jesus himself had to do, and remain single-hearted for Yahweh, while seeing his beauty in the midst of it all. I know the only way any of us can keep up our given job in this world is to keep close to God. Maybe we can help each other do just that!

It seems about the same as the US to me, it’s just a different kind of ‘idols’ here. Truthfully, it is God’s grace that puts us in His frame of mind, so that when we look around, we see what HE sees.

Amen! Iron sharpens iron… Looking fwd to it! -JK

    • Thank you Traci. Those verses definitely represent much of my life. The peace I have didn’t come easily. I have survived the sword and marched to my rest with God as my refuge. It’s a great life!
